Organizational Intelligence Developing Industry-Unique Decision Support and Business Intelligence Module

Portland, OR, March 27, 2007 — Organizational Intelligence (OI), a Portland-based provider of healthcare business intelligence solutions, working in conjunction with Iowa Health in Des Moines, is developing a unique approach for accessing key performance metrics. The new module should be available in about three months. The OI software, which is entirely browser-based, will utilize an industry-unique user interface to allow clients to access their decision making data. OI will also be exhibiting their business intelligence solutions at the upcoming HIMSS Virtual Conference and Expo May 16-17. Visit our online booth in the East Hall on the main floor.

The new OI module will be a fully customizable executive and manager dashboard of quantitative and qualitative key performance metrics which can be completely customized by each client to support their organizational needs and strategic objectives. In addition to the typical financial metrics, the new module will include performance metrics from operations, such as employee satisfaction, which are important to the entire management team. It is being designed to graphically highlight problem areas based on pre-determined targets and variance sensitivities that each client can specify.

The module will provide executives and departmental managers with real-time data and trending capabilities. The module’s views will be entirely specific to each client and will include user-defined automated alerts. Other features to be included are full drill-down capability and integration with other OI modules. All OI business intelligence software modules were developed using MS SQL Server and .NET.

"We expect this new module, which we will be able to customize to reflect our specific key performance indicators, will significantly improve our performance management," commented Kara Dunham, Executive Director of Finance at Iowa Health Des Moines. "Having a system that we can enter from our desktops that contains critical financial and operational metrics specific to our organization and available on an easy to use dashboard will greatly facilitate our financial and operational performance management."

"We have been overwhelmed with the reaction to our unique method of presenting budgetary planning and performance data," remarked Steve Imus, CEO of Organizational Intelligence. "Our development partner, Iowa Health, agrees that our approach significantly facilitates the use and interpretation of critical financial and operational information by everyone in a facility who needs to use this information to manage resources."
